Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Design Engineer to support the retrofit of existing and design of new product lines throughout our production areas. The role will focus on conceptual design, detailed design, 3D modelling, project planning and project execution, working closely with Operations, Maintenance and other functions to deliver practical, production-ready solutions. 3D manufacturing support will also be included in this role and will include modelling objects for 3D printing for prototyping and validation purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with various teams to optimise equipment and processes.
- Design modifications to existing equipment including liquid/powder filling systems, conveyance systems, and other ancillary equipment included in the production process.
- Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes to ensure robust, efficient, and compliant designs.
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs.
- Design components, fixtures, and modifications for 3D printing and manufacturing applications.
- Support planning and execution of the 3D manufacturing implementation project.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and revision control.
Key Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and/or other 3D modelling software.
- Proven experience in mechanical/design engineering within a manufacturing or process environment.
- Good understanding of processing equipment, production lines, and mechanical systems.
- Strong technical problem-solving ability with a practical, hands-on mindset.
- Experience or exposure to additive manufacturing/3D printing (not fully required).
- Ability to manage tasks and contribute to project timelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment.
Contract Rate
- Expected rate: (To be defined) per hour, depending on experience.
- Higher rates considered for candidates with strong process, equipment, and additive manufacturing experience.

Pay: €33,411.72-€68,428.17 per year
