Job Summary:
We are seeking dedicated Cleaning Supervisor to join our team in a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness within our facilities to ensure a clean and orderly environment.
Responsibilities / Job specifications:
- To undertake the supervision and daily cleaning of the CNU in line with Health & Safety Standards. The Supervisor will organise the teams work rotas and work with the team to ensure cleaning and hygiene standards are maintained to the National standards of Infection Prevention and control on a 24/7, 365 days a year basis
- Maintain confidentiality on all matters relating to service users, ex-service users and general business.
- Ensure all practices are compliant with Health & Safety Regulations and the HSE’s National cleaning manual.
- Maintain a cleaning schedule in line with specifications of the Cleaning Manual mentioned above.
- Ensure correct and thorough training is given to all employees on the cleaning products and cleaning roles within the CNU adhering to all relevant national standards and guidelines in relation to infection prevention and control and best practice in relation to cleaning and decontamination.
- Provide services that are responsive in terms of reactive cleaning requests to the Helpdesk.
- Keep accurate records in relation to all aspects of work and prepare reports as required
- Issue staff uniforms and ensure standards are maintained.
- Ensure correct levels of stock are held and replenished when minimum levels arise through existing Authority contracting arrangements.
- Ensure there is adequate equipment to perform cleaning duties organising replacements as required.
- Where reasonable and practicable, use only such cleaning products, materials and substances that are environmentally friendly.
- Implement the Additional Environmental Cleaning and Disinfection Services plan to assist the Authority’s Outbreak Control Team as required.
- Attend training and meetings as required and appropriate.
- Participate in performance reviews with Staff and key account manager.
- Undertake other duties as requested by the key account manager.
- Ensure all areas of your schedule are completed as required.

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a hospital or medical environment (Preferred).
- Ability to work autonomously but also to be able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to manage own time effectively.
- Ability to take instruction and direction and complete tasks to the highest standard.
- Knowledge of Principles of Chemical Safety.

Pay: €15.80 per hour
Experience:
- Contract Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- Healthcare Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
