Elevare, Ireland's leading Facility Management company, are looking to recruit Healthcare Cleaning Operatives to work in a challenging Healthcare Environment.
Role and Responsibilities
- The Cleaning Operative takes direction and guidance from the Supervisor in performing duties in line with Health and Safety standards and CNU (Clinical Nursing Unit) best practice policies and procedures.
- The Cleaning Operative will work as a part of the service team securing the premises and providing regular and reactive cleaning to the highest standards of cleanliness in line with the National Standards of Infection Prevention and Control
- Cleaning of all areas within the CNU (Clinical Nursing Unit) to include occupied patient rooms.
- Operate cleaning machinery
- Health and Safety reporting
- Performs additional duties as needed.
- Adhere to strict healthcare dress code and wear personal protective equipment provided including protective clothing and protective footwear.
- Assist the Supervisor and general operatives in providing reactive cleaning as reported to the Helpdesk in a timely and efficient manner.
- Participate in performance reviews and attend training and meetings as required and appropriate.
- To undertake other duties as requested by the Supervisor.
- Take all the necessary steps to ensure the maximum security and safety of the working area and all equipment and supplies contained therein.
- Identify hazards, assess risks and report same as per CNU policy to relevant personnel, and in accordance with individual responsibilities under all Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
- Carries out all cleaning, waste management duties in accordance with training and local Infection Prevention and Control Policies and Guidelines.
- Co-operate fully and participate with/in all health and safety training programmes.
- Be familiar with and comply with lifting & handling techniques.
- Actively participate and co-operate fully with all training programmes and performance review.
Requirements and Additional Role Information
- Healthcare cleaning experience
- Must be able to travel and reside close to location
- Must comply with Garda Vetting
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: €14.80 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Thomastown, County Kilkenny: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- healthcare cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
