Job description - Dental Receptionist
Dental Care Ireland have an excellent opportunity available for a Dental Receptionist to join our established Northumberland Dental practice in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. Competitive salary starting at €17 to €18 per hour depending on experience.

- Permanent, part-time role. 5 days per week, 19 hours. Monday to Friday.
- 1+ years' receptionist experience in a clinical/medical setting required.
- Dental receptionist experience preferred.

Our Practice has a friendly and experienced team in place - The Dental Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent customer service to our Patients. The Receptionist will work in close partnership with the team, take instruction from the Dentist and Practice Manager and have the ability to take ownership and responsibility for policies and procedures in the practice, as set out by Dental Care Ireland and other regulatory bodies.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Providing excellence in customer service.
- Greeting and registering patients on a day to day basis at the reception desk.
- Providing information and reassurance to patients about their treatment.
- Handling, recording and resolving patient complaints in line with company guidelines.
- Phone and email management throughout the day.
- Daily cashing up exercise for the practice.
- Appointment book management.
- Providing support to clinicians by sending prescriptions, referral letters, x-rays etc.
- Performing any local administration tasks such as filing, scanning, lodgements, postage etc.
- Completion of various spreadsheets for accounts purposes (i.e. cash sheet, trackers etc).
- Key holder duties.
- Assisting the practice manager to achieve agreed company KPIs.
Qualifications/Experience
Essential
- 1+ years' experience in a receptionist role in a medical or clinical setting (dental background preferred).
- Must be adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word, Internet and mail.
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
- Fluent in written and oral English.
- Authorised to work full-time in Ireland.
