Job Summary
We are seeking to hire a manufacturing technician who will be responsible for manufacturing work relating to the renewable energy and marine sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing of wooden moulds and fixtures.
- Manufacture of steel frames.
- Manufacture of composite laminates.
- To support across all departments with the analysis of material samples.
- Working knowledge of boats and the marine industry.
- Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures to correctly. manufacture and assemble composite parts to meet individual customer and project requirements as required.
- Complete all records required as per processes/procedures/project documentation requirements and training provided.
- Report problems with quality, processes, equipment, or materials to the Operations manager.
- Support the movement of materials and use of lifting equipment correctly.
- Operate machinery, tools, and aids as required.
- Complete routine tasks with minimal supervision.
- Maintaining a clean and neat working environment, ensuring high standards of housekeeping and 6s.
- Cross training/Versatility within team and organisation as required.
- Undertake all other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Trade qualification in carpentry or other related trade and or combination of experience that meets competence required for a technician role. Experience in manufacturing, construction, setting out, fitting, or finishing is desirable.
- Full European/Irish Driver’s License is required.
Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail – reading drawings, measuring accuracy.
- Excellent manual dexterity and co-ordination.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates good problem-solving capability.
- Proficiency in the English language is required.
Other:
- The prospective candidate must be able to demonstrate a positive can-do attitude, professional approach and self-motivation in completing assigned tasks.
- Individuals will be required to be mobile, with frequent standing, bending, reaching grasping, stooping and walking are requirements for role.
- Effective team member.
- Open to ongoing learning, feedback, development and cross training.
- Fluency in Irish is desirable but not essential.
