Job Summary:
The Quality Technician plays a key role in ensuring products meet customer, quality, and safety standards within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for inspections, internal audits, calibration coordination, cleanroom compliance, and driving timely resolution of quality issues to support on-time product release.
The successful candidate will work closely with Quality, Production and Engineering teams to maintain compliance, support continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold cleanroom and customer requirements. This role may require working as part of a shift pattern in the future.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform inspection to ensure all quality aspects of the job are met exactly.
- Inspection includes but is not limited to:
- · Receiving/incoming inspection, in-process inspection and final inspection
· Generates detailed discrepant material reports (DMR) and nonconformance reports (NCR) as necessary.
· Oversees closure of DMR and NCR reports linked to product/part Quality
· Support material review board meetings (MRB)
· Cleanroom monitoring
- Work closely with Production floor to always ensure compliance to policies and procedures.
- Checks documents for accuracy and compliance with requirements
- Performs Internal Audits on internal processes and procedures to ensure compliance to standards, ensuring audit actions are identifying and driving continuous improvement.
- Requires the ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment. Promotes a 6S culture.
- Supporting customer requirements and protocols for segregation of different substrates and deposition.
- Partake in CAPA, 8D, root cause analysis and Customer complaint investigations.
- Track and maintain calibration records, ensuring calibrations are completed on time as per due dates.
- Track and ensure compliance with sites analytical testing requirements.
- Interfaces and provides support to other departments, suppliers, and customers on quality-related issues as necessary.
- Attain positive results and communication through team effort.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database systems
- Strong understanding of quality systems, compliance, and continuous improvement principles
- Self-motivated team player with the ability to work across multiple departments
- Must support and drive safety and quality as site priorities
Education:
- 3rd Level Degree/Certificate in Quality and/or Continuous improvement or equivalent.
- ISO 9001:2015 certified internal auditor (CQI and IRCA recognised certification preferred).
Work Experience:
- Previous quality inspection or quality systems experience required.
- Internal auditing experience preferred.
- Experience working in a cleanroom or semiconductor environment is advantageous.
- Experience supporting qualifications, NPI, or customer-facing quality activities is beneficial.
Environmental Exposure
- Required to wear personal protective equipment
- Subject to hazards including electrical current, moving mechanical parts, exposure to chemicals, and debris.
- Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks.
