The Role
We're creating a new, internal role to deliver our Digital offering. You'll help micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) use digital tools and increasingly AI, to run better businesses.
This is a core position within Jigsaw, reporting into the founder, with scope to shape the direction of the department in future, and grow your skills.
This role would suit a graduate or early-career candidate. As this is an emerging field, we would rather hire for a someone who’s curious and eager to learn, than someone with years of experience.
If you don't tick every box but this opportunity excites you, apply anyway! If you include a cover letter, it will help us understand your motivations for applying.
Please note:
- This role is mainly remote. We have set the location as Dublin, but you can work from anywhere in Ireland. We have team members in Dublin, Kildare, Cork, etc.
- This is not a digital marketing role.
Key Responsibilities
Client-facing consulting
- Deliver one-to-one and group advice and guidance to MSME clients on digital tools, technology roadmaps and practical AI adoption.
- Translate emerging technology into plain, actionable guidance for business owners who don't have the time or background to figure it out themselves.
Business growth
- Represent Jigsaw at events, conferences and networking opportunities, speaking about digital and AI for small business.
- Proactively build relationships that generate new client opportunities for the business.
- Act as a visible, credible voice for Jigsaw's Digital offering in the wider small-business community.
Internal digital development
- Take ownership of Jigsaw's Digital offering and set its direction going forward.
- Spot and act on opportunities to improve our existing systems, materials and delivery approach, without waiting to be asked.
- Build out our capability in AI, within Jigsaw.
What We're Looking For
We're less interested in years of experience than in the right mindset — this is an emerging field, and we'd rather hire for curiosity and drive. That said, the following will help you thrive in the role:
- A passion for AI and digital technology, and real curiosity about how it can be applied practically in business.
- Comfortable learning independently and keeping pace with a fast-moving field — we'll support your development, but you'll need to want to build your own expertise too.
- Willing to communicate or present to a variety of audiences, for example delivering workshops, speaking at networking events, or through online webinars. (This skill can be developed over time in the role, you don’t need to be a highly experienced public speaker.)
- A proactive, ownership mindset — someone who sees a better way of doing something and takes the initiative to make it happen.
- Great interpersonal skills and open to working directly with business owners and their teams.
- Comfortable working with autonomy, in a supportive team, and helping shape a role and a department.
