Accounts & Leasing Executive
12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Leave Cover)

Magellan Aviation Group is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Accounts & Leasing Executive to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or lease administration to gain valuable exposure within the aviation and aircraft leasing industry.
About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts, supporting aircraft leasing activities, and ensuring timely collection of payments. You will work closely with finance, operations, sales, and legal teams to maintain accurate financial records, support leasing contracts, and help optimise cash flow across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
- Manage invoicing, reconciliations, collections, and customer account maintenance.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
- Produce aged debt reports and support cash flow forecasting.
- Resolve customer billing queries efficiently and professionally.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address payment-related issues.
Leasing Administration
- Support aircraft leasing contracts through invoicing, payment tracking, and documentation management.
- Monitor lease schedules and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
- Assist with lease renewals, amendments, and customer communications.
- Maintain accurate lease records and payment histories.
- Support month-end and year-end finance processes.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with company financial controls and procedures.
- Assist with audits and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation in line with industry and company standards.
About You
You will be a motivated and organised individual who enjoys working with financial data, managing multiple priorities, and building strong working relationships across a business.
Key Requirements
- 2-4 years' experience in accounts receivable, credit control, finance, or lease administration.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
Desirable
- Experience within the aviation, aircraft leasing, or related industries.
- Knowledge of leasing contracts and payment schedules.
