General Operative (Steel Fabrication & Powder Coating)
Butterly Steel Fabrication is seeking a motivated, reliable General Operative to join our team in Boyne Business Park/Drogheda/Co Louth. We are a reputable and expanding steel fabrication and powder coating company specializing in high-quality metal solutions. This is a full-time, permanent role with immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist fabricators with material preparation.
- Load and unload steel components.
- Operate basic tools like grinders and drills.
- Prepare metal surfaces for powder coating treatments.
- Hang and de-mask parts on coating lines.
- Package finished goods safely for final transport.
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety standards.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments preferred.
- Knowledge of powder coating or steel fabrication is a major advantage.
- Manual handling certificate is highly desirable.
- Forklift operator’s license an advantage.
- Full driver's license an advantage
- Physical fitness required for lifting heavy steel parts.
- Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work well within a fast-paced team.
- Fluent English speaker to ensure safety compliance.
