Applications are invited for the position of:
Clinical Nurse Specialist/ CNM2 Infection Prevention & Control.
This position is on a permanent, full time basis working 37.5 hours per week.
The post holder will provide specialist advice and guidance towards enhancing the Infection Prevention & Control service within the Galway Clinic. The successful applicant will work autonomously and in collaboration with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that a cohesive and effective service is provided. He/she will perform as a role model demonstrating high standards of clinical practice and leadership at all times.
Candidate Requirements:

Be registered / eligible to register in the General Division of the NMBI Nurse Register.

Higher Diploma/equivalent course in Infection Prevention & Control Nursing/related field or willingness to complete same - desirable.
- Minimum of five years post registration in an acute setting with a minimum of three years in the relevant area
- Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role

Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development at the appropriate level.
