Support Worker (Children's Respite Services)
Location: Meath Town (Community-Based)
Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week (with opportunities for increased hours as the service grows)

We are currently recruiting compassionate and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our growing team in the Meath area.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide one-to-one and small group community respite support to children with additional needs. This may include supporting children to access community activities, develop independent living skills, build social confidence and participate in enjoyable recreational activities.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, child-centred support.
- Support children to participate in community-based activities.
- Promote independence, confidence and social inclusion.
- Implement individual support plans.
- Complete daily records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with families and the wider team.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies.
- Report any concerns in line with company procedures.
Essential Requirements
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support, Social Care, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting children or individuals with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A caring, reliable and professional approach.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland.
Desirable
- Qualification in Social Care, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Early Years, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, or a related field.
- Experience supporting children with autism, intellectual disabilities or additional needs.
- Manual Handling, Children's First and First Aid training.
- Full clean driving licence and access to your own transport (highly desirable, as this is a community-based role).
