About the Role
As a shop assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring all garments are professionally finished to a high standard before returning to customers. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where quality and attention to detail are essential.
We have a great customer base and are looking for someone who takes pride in helping us look after their garments to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet customers, handle enquiries, and provide excellent customer service.
* Take in garments and record cleaning instructions accurately.
* Process payments and operate the till or POS system.
* Package and prepare cleaned items for customer collection.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and work area.
* Support with laundry duties including sorting, loading, and folding when needed.
* Pressing and finishing garments using the steam press and iron.
* Handling a range of fabrics including suits, shirts, dresses, coats, and delicate items.
* Ensuring garments are finished to a high-quality standard.
* Checking items for any visible issues before and after pressing.
* Working efficiently to meet daily turnaround times.
* Keeping work area and equipment clean and organised.
* Following care instructions and fabric handling guidelines.
What We’re Looking For/requirements:
* Team player with a positive attitude.
* Willingness to follow instructions and company procedures
* Ability to stand for extended periods and carry out repetitive tasks
* Basic understanding of fabric types is helpful but can be learned on the job.
* Good attention to detail and pride in your work.
* Ability to handle garments carefully and responsibly.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a busy environment.
* Previous experience in pressing or laundry is a distinct advantage.
* Available to work Saturdays

Pay: From €15.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cork, County Cork: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
