Goods In Assistant
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and organised Operations Assistant to join our team. This is a varied,
hands-on role combining goods-in and goods-out duties.
You will help ensure goods are received accurately, stored correctly, picked efficiently and
dispatched safely in support of our daily operations.
The ideal candidate enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in doing things properly, and
has a positive, can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities
Goods In

Receive and check internal and external deliveries against purchase orders and delivery
documentation.

Identify and report shortages, damages or discrepancies.

Store stock safely and accurately in the correct locations.

Maintain stock traceability and comply with HACCP procedures.
Goods Out
-
Accurately pick customer and internal orders.
-
Pack products safely to maintain quality during transport.

Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
General Operations
We support professional kitchens providing high-quality catering services to thousands of
people every day. As part of this operation, all team members are expected to:

Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

Comply with all Food Safety, HACCP and Health & Safety procedures.

Participate in daily and weekly cleaning schedules.

Support colleagues across the operation as required, including internal deliveries and
other operational duties.

Carry out additional reasonable duties as required by the business.
What We're Looking For (Essential)

Full, clean Category B driving licence.

Reliable, punctual and organised.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Comfortable with manual handling.

Strong attention to detail.
Desirable

Previous experience in warehouse, goods-in, goods-out or delivery roles.

Experience working within the food or catering industry.

Understanding of HACCP and food safety procedures.

Basic computer and administrative skills.
