Overview
We are seeking a motivated and professional Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our growing cosmetic surgery team. This role offers the opportunity to work directly alongside experienced surgeons and clinical staff in a dynamic, high-standard surgical environment. You will assist in theatre, prepare and manage equipment, support patient care, and take part in decontamination processes — all with full training provided.

Key Responsibilities
- Theatre Support:
- Act as a non-sterile (runner) during surgical procedures.
- Prepare and pass instruments, consumables, and materials as directed by the surgeon or scrub nurse.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe surgical environment.
- Patient Care:
- Assist with patient preparation, pre-operative checks, and post-operative recovery.
- Provide reassurance, comfort, and support to patients throughout their journey.
- Equipment & Decontamination:
- Assist with the cleaning, sterilisation, and maintenance of instruments and surgical areas.
- Manage stock control, storage, and replenishment of theatre supplies.
- Ensure infection control standards and protocols are always met.
- Operational Support:
- Support clinical staff with setting up and closing down theatres and treatment rooms.
- Assist with administrative and logistical tasks as required.
- Sometimes administraiton/reception duty.
Requirements
- Previous healthcare or clinical experience desirable but not essential.
- A proactive, professional attitude and willingness to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow protocols precisely.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to assist across multiple areas of the clinic.
Training & Development
- Full on-the-job training provided in theatre assistance, infection control, and decontamination.
