Basic Role Summary:

In this role you will report into QA Supervisor.
Location: Onsite at our facility in Loughrea.
As our QA Packaging Incoming Inspection Specialist, your key responsibilities will be as follows:
Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications: conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
Inspects materials following set procedures
Inspects artwork ensuring it complies with customer requirements
Develop master samples and file in an orderly fashion
Labelling of approved and rejected materials
Where necessary raise supplier corrective actions for any non-conforming materials. Help ensure these are closed out in a timely manner
Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs: summarizing re-work and waste
Proper filing of inspection results
Review of standard operation procedures and update where necessary
Keep measurements equipment operating by following operating instructions: calling for repairs when necessary.
Ensure all measuring equipment is fit for use and inside calibration
Calibration of incoming inspections equipment
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures: complying with legal regulations
Other duties as requested by the quality supervisor or manager
Qualifications and Experience:
Previous experience in a pharmaceutical/ manufacturing environment essential.
2+years' experience in Quality Assurance/ Documentation desirable.
Preferred Science qualification.
Excellent attention to detail required.
Good IT Business Administration Skills.

The role requires regular movement throughout warehouse and production areas, including walking, standing for extended periods, conducting visual inspections of materials and packaging components, and occasional manual handling of samples, materials, and inspection equipment. Employees must comply with site health and safety requirements, complete manual handling training, and may be required to operate or work in areas where forklifts are in use. The position requires sufficient visual acuity, attention to detail, and dexterity to perform inspections, measure components, and complete documentation accurately.
