Full-Time | 5 days over 7 (weekend availability required)
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Assistant Manager / Supervisor to join our team and support the day-to-day running of our busy café. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong hospitality experience who enjoys leading a team, delivering excellent customer service, and helping a café operate smoothly.
You will work closely with the General Manager, supporting daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring our customers receive a consistently great experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager with the day-to-day operations and organisation of the café
- Supervise the team during service and help ensure smooth, efficient shifts
- Delegate and assign tasks to team members
- Deliver and consistently model excellent customer service
- Encourage upselling and strong product knowledge
- Train and support staff in customer service standards and café procedures
- Step in as manager on duty when the General Manager is not present
- Place orders with suppliers and assist with stock management
- Complete required administration and paperwork, including HACCP documentation
- Help maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety
What We’re Looking For
- Previous supervisory or management experience in hospitality
- A positive, proactive attitude and strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards is an advantage
- Flexibility to work 5 days over 7, including weekends
