SSE is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join our Head Office team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to play a key role in supporting employees across the business.
As part of our HR and Finance support function, you will be responsible for ensuring payroll is processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and compliance.

Process and administer payroll accurately using payroll software.

Reconcile payroll data and investigate discrepancies.

Maintain confidential employee payroll records and update payroll-related information.

Prepare payroll reports, KPIs, and management presentations.

Assist with pension administration and annual returns.

Process expenses, reimbursements, and payroll-related payments.

Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, company policies, and procedures.

Support payroll system improvements and provide training when required.

Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Management teams to ensure efficient payroll operations

2-3 years' experience in a Payroll Administrator or similar payroll-focused role.

Previous experience using payroll software is essential.

Strong knowledge of payroll processes and relevant legislation.

Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

This is a full-time role, based at SSE Head Office in Galway.
Flexibility may be required from time to time to support business needs, including occasional alternative working hours or weekend work.
