Be the first point of contact for guests and are responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling reservations, and assisting with various guest needs. Your professionalism and attention to detail are key to creating a positive and memorable guest experience.
Main Responsibilities:
Guest Services: Provide exceptional guest services by welcoming and assisting guests, answering calls, and addressing inquiries promptly.
Reservations and Check-In: Manage reservations, perform check-ins, and ensure accurate room assignments and registration.
Payment Handling: Verify and process guest payments, including credit card authorizations, and accurately post charges to guest accounts.
Information Management: Maintain up-to-date records of room bookings and guest-related information.
Communication Hub: Handle guest messages, receive and deliver mail and packages, and assist with guest requests.
Local Guidance: Offer information on local attractions and services, enhancing the guest experience.
Issue Resolution: Coordinate with relevant staff to address guest concerns and complaints professionally.
Reporting: Complete necessary reports, including incident and daily activity reports, as required.
Room Turnover: Manage room readiness for housekeeping and facilitate the check-out process.
Security and Reception Area: Ensure the security of the premises and maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area.
Industry Awareness: Stay informed about hospitality industry trends and local events.
Health and Safety: Uphold health and safety standards for the protection of all individuals on the premises.
Other skills and qualifications required
- Previous Experience of HotSoft a plus
- Previous experience in a similar role in the hotel industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle guest concerns with professionalism and discretion.
- Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and software.
- Knowledge of local attractions and services is a plus.
- Basic understanding of health and safety protocols in a hotel setting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Good numeracy and administrative skills.
- Must be personable with ability to serve customers efficiently with welcoming and friendly demeanour.
