G & S Stainless Services Limited is seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator / TIG Welder to
join its fabrication team.
The successful candidate will fabricate and TIG-weld stainless-steel products and process
equipment for the pharmaceutical, chemical, food, dairy and manufacturing industries.
Duties and responsibilities:
●Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings and welding
specifications
●Measure, mark out, cut, form and prepare stainless-steel components
●TIG-weld stainless-steel pipework, fittings and fabricated assemblies
●Fabricate process pipework, vessels, tanks, skids, frames and associated equipment
●Prepare, align and fit pipes, flanges, valves and fittings before welding
●Assemble and finish fabricated components to the required dimensions and tolerances
●Use workshop machinery, grinders, saws, drills and fabrication equipment
●Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality and accuracy
●Carry out polishing, grinding and finishing of stainless-steel products
●Follow applicable welding procedures, quality standards and health and safety
requirements
●Assist with installation and mechanical works on customer sites where required
Requirements:
●At least three years’ relevant experience as a Metal Fabricator, TIG Welder, Pipe Welder
or Fabricator Welder
●Strong TIG-welding experience, particularly with stainless steel
●Experience fabricating stainless-steel pipework, vessels, skids or process equipment
●Ability to read and work accurately from engineering drawings
●Experience preparing and aligning pipes, fittings and fabricated assemblies
●Ability to produce clean, consistent and high-quality welds
●Relevant welding or metal-fabrication qualification is desirable
●Previous experience in pharmaceutical, food, dairy or chemical-industry fabrication is
desirable
Pay: From €36,605.00 per year
