WestLAN are now hiring for a Trainee Data Cable installer for the Cork area. Works will be throughout Cork and surrounding counties. Accommodation and expenses will be paid for overnight stay when needed.
The trainee technician will be paired with a Senior Technician and will receive in house and on site training.
Training will include:
- Wiring of Data, Voice & Copper cable in large commercial projects
- Terminating of copper cable - Cat 6 & Cat 6A
- Splicing of Fibre cable using Fluke equipment
- Setting up and Testing of cables using Fluke Testers
- Reading & Marking up site drawings
- Redline Drawings
- Patching / Cabinet installation / Toning of cables
Requirements:
- Safe Pass / Manual Handling in Date
- Working at Heights desirable
- Previous construction industry experience desirable
- Own transport & flexible to travel to sites outside Cork
- Positive attitude & high energy levels are essential for this role
- Excellent time keeping and communications skills are a must
