Prep Chef (Morning Shift)

We're looking for an experienced Prep Chef to join our kitchen team.
This is a morning role focused on preparing fresh ingredients and ensuring the kitchen is fully stocked and organised before service begins.
Hours:
- Morning shift: 6:00am – 10:00am
- Additional hours may be available for the right candidate.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing all fresh food for the day's service.
- Following recipes accurately and consistently.
- Slow cooking and preparing meats (training can be provided if required).
- Receiving and putting away deliveries.
- Organising and rotating stock in fridges and storage areas (FIFO).
- Ensuring all prep is completed before service deadlines.
- Maintaining high food hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Working efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a prep chef or in a similar kitchen role.
- HACCP trained with a good understanding of food safety procedures.
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work unsupervised.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable:
- Experience preparing large batches of food.
- Experience slow cooking meats such as beef, pork, and chicken.
- Experience with stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation.
