Role Purpose
The Apprenticeship Maintenance Technician will undertake a structured programme of training and practical work experience to develop the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Maintenance Technician. The role involves supporting the maintenance team in ensuring machinery, equipment and facilities are maintained safely and efficiently to maximise operational performance.
Working alongside experienced maintenance personnel, the apprentice will gain hands-on experience while completing the academic requirements of the apprenticeship programme.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Support
- Assist with preventative and corrective maintenance activities across manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Support routine inspections, servicing and repairs of machinery.
- Help diagnose faults and assist with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
- Participate in machine rebuilds, equipment installations and commissioning activities.
- Assist in maintaining maintenance records, schedules and documentation.

Qualifications and RequirementsEssential
- Leaving Certificate (or equivalent) .
- Demonstrated interest in engineering, maintenance or technology.
- Good IT literacy.
- Commitment to completing the apprenticeship programme.
