Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable warehouse general operative to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks, including loading & unloading lorries, picking orders, keeping up to date with the stock control system and managing best before dates & occasional van deliveries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, lift and stack products.
- Rotating dates of stock, to ensure goods don’t expire
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while operating equipment.
- Warehouse Duties:
- Unload and inspect incoming shipments to ensure all is correct as per delivery note.
- Organize and maintain inventory in accordance with freshest and oldest stock
- Pick orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with stocktaking and inventory audits as required.
- Van Deliveries:
- Occasionally drive company van to deliver goods to customers.
- Ensure timely and safe delivery of products.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with warehouse staff to meet daily operational targets.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating forklifts.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
