We continuously upgrade, innovate and modernise our process, plant and machinery and automation cells.
We are seeking a Production Planner & Buyer to take full ownership of our scheduling, procurement, and inventory workflows. Working as part of a close-knit team, you will optimize our live SAP system to ensure peak operational efficiency. You will manage workflows across Injection Moulding, Assembly, and the Warehouse, while simultaneously driving purchasing, supplier management, and cost-control initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Operations
- Daily Scheduling: Manage orders on the Injection Moulding & Assembly departments; track urgent requests.
- Operational Directives: Issue daily machine, personnel, and automatic instructions; coordinate daily tool changes with the Process Department.
- Risk Management: Attend daily production meetings to report scheduling bottlenecks and proactively mitigate delivery delays.
- SAP Optimization: Fully utilize and run the SAP plan board PPDS to maintain absolute data integrity across Moulding and Assembly operations.
- System Accuracy: Proactively update all changes on SAP to keep schedules and material statuses live and accurate.
Buying & Procurement
- Supplier Management: Monitor supplier order confirmations and track delivery timelines for core components.
- Financial Control: Verify quantities and sign off on incoming goods for payment; flag discrepancies to Accounts.
- Sourcing: Manage end-to-end procurement and supply chain continuity alongside the global team.
Inventory & Material Control
- Stock Checks: Complete weekly stock checks and raise purchase orders for raw materials, masterbatch, packaging, and safety gear as required.
- Data Maintenance: Perform weekly rack audits and issue weekly material due lists to warehouse staff.
- Reporting: Compile monthly material consumption data.
What You Bring
- Experience: Core background in production planning and transactional procurement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (Injection Moulding highly preferred).
- SAP Mastery: Practical, hands-on experience running, troubleshooting and updating data within SAP environment.
- Teamwork & Execution: Strong collaboration skills to thrive in a collaborative two-person planning team and wider production team, alongside exceptional problem-solving abilities under tight deadlines.
