Jewellery Sales Assistant
Job Description:
We are a family-owned Irish jewellery business with over 45 years of heritage in jewellery design and craftsmanship, with two stores in Galway City Centre and an established online presence serving customers across Ireland and worldwide. We are seeking a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Jewellery Sales Assistant to join our team. This role involves assisting customers in finding the perfect jewellery, providing excellent customer service, supporting sales, maintaining high shop presentation standards and helping to showcase our collections of Irish, Celtic, Claddagh and contemporary jewellery. The successful candidate will enjoy working with people, have a genuine interest in jewellery and design and take pride in creating a welcoming and professional shopping experience.

- Foxford Jewellery, Corbett Court, Galway City
Working Hours:
Monday-Saturday: 10am-6pm
Sunday & Bank-Holidays: 11am-6pm
Roster Schedule:
Flexible 3-5 Days
Hourly Wage:
€14:15 (Paid Weekly)
Responsibilities:
* Provide Friendly and Professional Customer Service.
* Assist Customers with Jewellery Selection, Styling Advice and Gift Purchases.
* Provide Ring Sizing Assistance and Basic Product Guidance.
* Process Sales and Operate the Till Accurately.
* Maintain High Standards of Shop Presentation and Cleanliness.
* Assist with Visual Merchandising and Product Displays.
* Replenish Stock and Maintain Organised Displays.
* Assist with Stock Management and Inventory Checks.
* Handle Customer Enquiries Professionally and Efficiently.
* Develop Knowledge of Jewellery Collections, Materials and Craftsmanship.
* Support the Day-to-Day Operation of the Shop.
* Work Collaboratively with Colleagues Across Both Shop Locations.
* Help Create a Welcoming and Positive Shopping Experience.
* Follow Company Procedures and Customer Service Standards.
* Assist with Opening and Closing Duties.
Essential Requirements:
* Must be Legally Entitled to Work in the Republic of Ireland.
* Must Have (or be Able to Open) an Irish Bank Account for Payroll Purposes.
* Strong Written and Spoken English.
* Friendly and Professional Communication Skills.
* Excellent Customer Service Skills.
* Previous Retail, Sales or Customer Service Experience.
* Ability to Work as Part of a Small Team.
* Mature, Reliable and Level-Headed with Good Judgement.
* Strong Attention to Detail.
* Good Organisational Skills.
* Interest in Jewellery, Irish Design and Craftsmanship.
* Professional Appearance and Positive Attitude.
* Willingness to Learn Jewellery Knowledge, Sizing, Styling and Product Information.
* Flexible and Adaptable Approach to Work.
Preferences:
* Experience in Jewellery, Fashion Giftware or Luxury Retail.
* Flexibility to Work Weekends, Public Holidays and Peak Trading Periods.
* Experience Operating a Till and Handling Transactions.
* Experience Using Point-of-Sale (POS) Systems.
* Understanding of Visual Merchandising and Shop Presentation.
* Experience with Stock Replenishment and Inventory Management.
* Ability to Provide Styling Advice and Personalised Customer Service.
* Strong Interpersonal and Relationship-Building Skills.
