The Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-established and highly respected food manufacturing business to appoint a Head of Engineering.
This is a key leadership role with responsibility for the overall engineering strategy, plant reliability, maintenance performance, and future technical development of a busy manufacturing operation.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the engineering function, influence capital investment decisions, and lead initiatives that improve reliability, efficiency, and operational performance across the site.

The Role
As Head of Engineering, you will:
- Lead and develop the engineering and maintenance teams.
- Drive equipment reliability, plant performance and maintenance effectiveness.
- Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Lead capital investment projects from planning through to delivery.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with production, quality and senior leadership teams to support site performance.
- Ensure compliance with all engineering, safety and regulatory requirements.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and technical excellence.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in speaking with engineering leaders who can demonstrate:
- Significant engineering leadership experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or a highly automated production environment.
- A proven track record of improving plant performance and reducing downtime.
- Experience leading engineering and maintenance teams within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong capital project and budget management experience.
- A hands-on leadership style with the ability to influence across all levels of the business.
- A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for operational excellence.

Pay: €29,215.06-€74,294.61 per year
