We are looking for an energetic and experienced Coffee Shop Supervisor to lead our team and keep our daily operations running smoothly. As a neighborhood cafe, our focus is on high-quality coffee and warm hospitality.
In this role, you will lead by example—brewing exceptional specialty coffee behind the bar while managing shifts, guiding baristas, and making sure our guests feel welcome. The ideal candidate has strong barista skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for building a community space.

Core Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations by opening or closing the shop and keeping the floor clean & organized.
- Maintain quality control by dialing in espresso, monitoring milk texturing, and keeping coffee presentation high.
- Supervise the team during busy rushes, assigning positions and keeping morale high.
- Train new baristas on our specialty drink menu, customer service standards, and equipment maintenance.
- Manage stock levels by tracking milk, coffee beans, pastries, and retail items, and placing daily orders.
- Handle cash management, including opening tills, processing voids and refunds, doing change orders.
- High standard of cleaniness: keeping the cafe, counter, and espresso machine clean and sanitized.
- Resolve guest complaints quickly with a warm, hospitable attitude.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience as a Senior Barista, Shift Lead, or Supervisor in a specialty coffee shop.
- Strong barista skills, including espresso calibration, manual brewing, and latte art.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for delegating tasks clearly.
- Problem-solving: Ability to handle high-stress situations and think critically.
- Time management: Exceptional ability to prioritize multiple tight deadlines.
- Natural leadership skills with the ability to motivate a small team during high-volume peak hours.
- A Friendly community-focused personality.
- Reliable availability, especially for early morning openers (e.g., 6:30 AM) or weekend shifts.
- Food safety certification (such as HACCP) is highly preferred.
