This role is employed by Ardrar Ltd, which operates under separate terms and conditions to Bord Gáis Energy. Together we’re helping homes, farms and businesses cut costs, reduce emissions, and transition to cleaner energy.
The Role
Ardrar Ltd, trading as Bord Gáis Energy, and part of the Centrica Group, is seeking a
Case Coordinator to support the next phase of transformation as we accelerate our transition to a more sustainable energy future.
What you’ll be doing
As a Technical Inspector, you will conduct detailed site surveys and technical assessments at residential, commercial and agricultural properties to support the successful delivery of Solar PV installations.
You will engage directly with customers, explain technical findings in a clear and professional manner, and ensure all installation requirements, safety considerations, and quality standards are captured accurately.
Working closely with operations, and installation teams, you will help ensure every installation is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Accountabilities
· Conduct pre-installation site surveys for Solar PV installations.
· Complete roof assessments and identify structural or access considerations.
· Perform electrical inspections to verify suitability for proposed installations.
· Assess installation feasibility and identify potential technical risks.
· Carry out quality and compliance inspections in line with company standards.
· Conduct health and safety assessments on customer sites.
· Consult with customers and explain technical recommendations clearly.
· Capture accurate site measurements, photographs, and technical information.
· Complete and maintain detailed survey reports and documentation.
· Review technical documentation and installation requirements.
· Liaise with design, operations, and installation teams to ensure successful project delivery.
· Support troubleshooting and problem-solving activities where technical challenges arise.
· Ensure all inspections are completed in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
Skills & Experience
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 1 year proven experience in a Case Management role (energy or construction, utilities or home improvement experience is advantageous)
- Strong interest in renewable energy, sustainability, and the transition to net zero
- Proven ability to deliver against KPI’s in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to explain technical solutions in a clear, customer-friendly manner
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy case load.
- Experience using CRM system.
- Knowledge of the Irish energy market or Solar PV solutions is beneficial but not essential
Personal Attributes
· Qualified Electrician with relevant industry certification.
· Minimum 3 years' experience in the electrical industry.
· Minimum 2 years' experience within the Solar PV sector preferred.
· Strong understanding of domestic and commercial electrical installations.
· Experience conducting site surveys, inspections, or technical assessments.
· Ability to identify technical issues and provide practical solutions.
· Working knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Ability to work independently while managing a busy field-based schedule.
· Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
· Comfortable explaining technical information to non-technical customers.
· Full clean driving licence.
· Proficient in using digital reporting tools and Microsoft Office applications.
