The Executive Engineer acts as a frontline manager within the council. They are responsible for translating strategic goals (corporate, departmental, and team plans) into operational actions and generally works within multi-disciplinary teams. An Executive Engineer works closely with senior management, elected representatives and external agencies and stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery.
The ideal candidate will understand and operate within the political context of local government maintaining public trust, impartiality, and professionalism. They will be self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently and demonstrate a strong commitment to public service and continuous improvement.
