The Warehouse Operative is responsible for supporting the efficient running of the warehouse by handling incoming and outgoing goods, maintaining stock accuracy, and ensuring a safe and organised working environment. The role involves physical work, attention to detail, and teamwork to meet operational targets.
Key Responsibilities:

Receiving, checking, and storing incoming deliveries

Picking, packing, and dispatching orders accurately

Loading and unloading vehicles safely

Maintaining stock levels and reporting discrepancies

Operating warehouse equipment (e.g. pallet trucks, forklifts where licensed)

Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and organised

Labelling, scanning, and tracking inventory using warehouse systems
-
Conducting regular stock checks and inventories

Following all health & safety procedures and company policies

Assisting with general warehouse duties as required
Skills and Experience:
Essential:

Good level of physical fitness

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work as part of a team

Good numeracy and literacy skills

Good time management and reliability
Desirable:

Previous warehouse or logistics experience

Forklift licence (e.g. Counterbalance, Reach)

Drivers licence

Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS)
Working Conditions:

May involve lifting heavy items

Shift work for periods of the year, including evenings or weekends depending on business needs
