We are looking for a part time practice nurse at Nangor Medical Centre, with an immediate start. The days required are Wednesday and Friday each week. Hours 8.30-17.30 with one hour for lunch. The initial contact will be for one year, with potential to extend beyond this. The practice is currently made up of 3 GPs, one other practice nurse , and 4 administrative staff. We use Helix practice manager software. The ideal candidate will have at least one year practice nurse experience.
Required skills include:
-Phlebotomy
- 24 hour blood pressure monitors
-Chronic disease management reviews
-Childhood immunisations
-Flu and Covid 19 vaccination clinics, and other IM and Subcutaneous injections
-Suture removal
-ECG
- Dressings/wound care
Other skills which would be advantageous , but not essential include:
-Cervical smears
- Travel vaccinations
-Midwifery skills to include routine antenatal visits and 2 week baby checks
