We are now looking for a Stores Assistant based in the Ringsend Waste Water Treatment Works, Dublin 4. The Stores Assistant will beresponsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of the site stores at the Ringsend WWTW. The role ensures that all deliveries are received, checked, recorded, and stored correctly while maintaining a clean, organised, and safe stores environment. The Stores Assistant will play a key role in ensuring our maintenance teams have timely access to materials, tools, and equipment required to support plant operations.
Working Environment
This role is based at Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Works and involves working both indoors and outdoors in an industrial environment. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times in accordance with site safety requirements.
1) Main Tasks/ Accountabilities
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery dockets.
- Verify the accuracy of deliveries and report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
- Organise and maintain the stores in a tidy, safe, and efficient manner.
- Store materials and equipment in designated locations using appropriate stock control procedures.
- Organise and maintain the oil storage area, keep tidy and free of spillages, control the stock and report low levels to the relevant person.
- Issue stock, tools, and consumables to site personnel and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Carry out routine stock counts and assist with periodic inventory audits.
- Identify low stock levels and notify the relevant person to facilitate reordering.
- Ensure all materials are labelled and stored in accordance with site procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Assist with the disposal or return of obsolete, damaged, or surplus stock.
- Assist with shipping faulty equipment for repairs.
- Operate manual handling equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures (training provided where required).
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the stores and surrounding areas.
- Comply with all site Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
- Support other operational and maintenance activities as required.

3) Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working in a stores, warehouse, logistics or industrial environment is preferred.
- Experience receiving deliveries, stock control and organisation, and inventory management in an industrial or maintenance setting would be an advantage.
- Experience working on an industrial, utilities, manufacturing, or construction site would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with stock management or maintenance management systems (CMMS/ERP) would be an advantage.
- Forklift licence or willingness to undertake training (desirable).
