Catering Supervisor
Location: The Green Kitchen, Walkinstown & GPO Museum, Dublin
Position: Full-Time (Flexibility Required)
The Green Kitchen is a social enterprise café committed to great food, excellent customer service and creating positive community impact. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Catering Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of our cafés in both Walkinstown and the GPO Museum.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys leading by example, delivering excellent customer experiences and working as part of a small, dedicated team. The successful candidate will be flexible and capable of supervising operations across both locations as required.

The Role
As Catering Supervisor, you will help oversee the daily operation of our cafés, ensuring consistently high standards of food preparation, customer service, hygiene and team support. You will work closely with management while remaining actively involved in day-to-day service delivery.
This role requires flexibility to work across both our Walkinstown café and our café at the GPO Museum.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising the day-to-day operation of both café locations as required
- Leading and supporting the café team to deliver an excellent customer experience
- Preparing and serving food to a consistently high standard
- Providing friendly, professional and efficient customer service
- Carrying out barista duties and maintaining high-quality coffee service
- Managing cash handling, tills and end-of-day reconciliation procedures
- Assisting with stock ordering, stock control and waste management
- Supporting staff training, development and performance
- Ensuring HACCP, food safety and hygiene standards are maintained at all times
- Opening and closing cafés as required
- Working collaboratively with management to maintain efficient operations
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous supervisory experience in a café, deli, hospitality or catering environment
- Strong food preparation and customer service skills
- Excellent barista experience and coffee knowledge
- Experience with cash handling, stock control and ordering
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy environment
- A positive and supportive leadership style
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work across both Green Kitchen locations and at weekends when required
- A strong appreciation for the values and mission of a social enterprise
