Front of Shop Retail Assistant — Tara Pharmacy, Co. Meath
Tara Pharmacy, located within Bettystown Primary Care Centre, is an exciting new pharmacy with our doors open less than a year. We are looking for a friendly and reliable Retail Assistant to join our front-of-shop team. We're a growing community pharmacy and need an extra pair of hands to help us keep giving customers the warm, attentive service they're used to.
What you'll be doing:
- Welcoming and serving customers at the counter and shop floor
- Advising customers on over-the-counter (OTC) products and general health and beauty ranges
- Operating the till and handling payments accurately
- Supporting the dispensary team — handing out prescriptions and passing on customer queries where needed
- Keeping shelves stocked, tidy, and well presented; helping with deliveries and stock rotation
- Helping the pharmacy run smoothly during busy periods
What we're looking for:
- A friendly, approachable manner and genuine interest in helping people
- Good communication skills and comfort dealing with the public
- Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
- Previous retail or pharmacy counter experience is preferred, though we'll consider the right candidate without it
- Comfortable standing for shifts and helping with light stock work
Hours: Three to four days per week.
The shop is open Mon–Fri 9am–7pm and Saturday 9am–6pm; you'll be required to work 2 of every 4 Saturdays.
Pay: €15–€17 per hour, depending on experience
