Part-Time Office Administrator

SJE Energy Solutions is seeking a highly organised and reliable Part-Time Office Administrator to join our team.
We are a busy electrical contracting company delivering domestic, commercial, maintenance, and energy-related electrical services. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the office and assist in coordinating work between customers, contractors, and our electricians.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling incoming calls and responding to customer enquiries in a professional manner
- Managing emails and general office correspondence
- Scheduling and coordinating electrical works
- Organising daily and weekly workloads for electricians and apprentices
- Updating and maintaining job records using Tradify
- Preparing quotations and issuing invoices
- Following up on quotations, outstanding information, and customer queries
- Processing purchase orders and supplier documentation
- Organising job sheets, test sheets, and electrical certification records
- Assisting with Safe Electric documentation and certification requirements
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer and job records
- Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and customers
- Monitoring progress of ongoing and completed jobs
- Supporting maintenance contracts, PIR inspections, MEV works, and other ongoing projects
- General filing and office administration duties
- Providing administrative support to management as required
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Confident communicating with customers and colleagues
- Able to work independently and manage their own workload
- Capable of prioritising tasks in a busy environment
- Competent with computers, email, and Microsoft Office
- Comfortable with basic invoicing and numerical tasks
- Friendly, professional, and customer-focused
- Proactive, with the ability to use initiative and see tasks through to completion
Previous experience within an electrical, construction, engineering, or trades-based environment would be advantageous.
Experience with Tradify or similar job management software is desirable, although full training can be provided.
Hours
Part-time – approximately 20–25 hours per week
Monday to Friday.
Working hours are flexible and can be discussed, making this role suitable for school hours or other flexible working arrangements.
The Role
This is a varied and important position within a growing company. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the administrative function of the business, ensuring that jobs, customer communications, and documentation are accurately maintained and well organised.
There may be an opportunity for the role and working hours to expand in the future.
Pay: From €23,674.41 per year
