€60,859 – €84,595 + (if coming from the private sector, the successful candidate will start on the first point on the grade with annual increments thereafter.)
Overview
On behalf one of our long standing clients HSE, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Engineer / Surveyor to join their Capital & Estates team in Limerick. This is a key role supporting the delivery of major and minor capital projects across healthcare infrastructure, including new builds, refurbishments, compliance upgrades, and estate sustainability initiatives. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary estates team delivering projects that directly impact frontline healthcare services.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Technical Project Manager, you will:
- Lead and coordinate capital projects (minor & major works) from brief through to completion
- Prepare project scopes, budgets, and programmes in collaboration with stakeholders
- Manage procurement processes in line with EU & public sector guidelines
- Oversee contractors and project delivery on-site
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and compliant
- Support the development and delivery of planned maintenance programmes
- Contribute to property strategy, asset management, and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire regulations, and HIQA standards
- Drive sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives across estates
About You
You will bring a strong technical and project delivery background within construction, engineering, or building services:
Essential Requirements

Level 8 (or higher) degree in Engineering, Architecture or Surveying

OR Chartered membership (Engineers Ireland, RICS, SCSI, RIAI)

5 years’ relevant experience in:

Construction / capital projects
-
Building services or infrastructure delivery
-
Proven experience in project management and contractor oversight
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong knowledge of construction regulations & building systems
- Experience with public procurement (EU guidelines preferred)
- Understanding of healthcare or complex operational environments
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation & compliance standards
- Experience with budgets, cost control, and programme delivery
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proficient in tools such as MS Project, AutoCAD, Excel, SAP (desirable)
