Job Description:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
General:
-
Perform regular quality inspections on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping according to SOPs
-
Physical inspection of raw materials. Ensure the warehouse storage environment is acceptable for the materials being inspected

Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
-
Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
-
Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
-
Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
-
Supervise the production process if needed.
-
Carry out daily QC inspections in production.
-
Participate in quality-related issues (NCR, RCA).
-
Assist with general QMS maintenance
QC Lab:
-
Assist in general product testing.
-
Receiving of samples in the lab
-
Viscosity
-
Reactivity Test (Exotherm)
-
Analytical Testing (i.e., Amine function, Epoxy index, Water Content, Titration)
-
Preparation of samples for compressive testing
-
Recording of test results into the QC database
-
Generation of CoC / CoA documents, and other customer-required documents
-
Follow procedures for manufacturing, troubleshooting, and testing using automated instruments, quality control
-
Ensures that testing and results approval are completed within agreed turnaround times
-
Conduct laboratory internal calibrations as required
-
Work with external calibration service providers
-
Document results and analyze data
-
Conduct retesting of products as needed to support quality investigations
-
Monitor use and inventories of laboratory chemicals and supplies
-
Make recommendations for adjusting process conditions to ensure quality standards are met
-
Adhere to safety, health and environmental policies and procedures
-
Maintain good housekeeping to ensure laboratory and plant cleanliness
-
Read and understand all customer-standardized test method documents.

Participate in Gage R & R studies on lab equipment.

Participate in equipment verification.

Participate in IATF 16949 activities

Two to Five years of previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.

Exposure to IATF 16949 standard

Degree/Experience in Chemistry or related Sciences discipline.

Experience working in an analytical laboratory would be beneficial.
