We are recruiting a Senior Chef (Sous Chef level or an experienced Senior Chef de Partie) to join the kitchen team of a 4-star hotel restaurant in Dublin city centre.
This is a hands-on evening role in a structured kitchen serving classic Irish cuisine with manageable volumes and early finishes. We may be able to offer staff accommodation to the right candidate.
Key Details
- Pay: Up to €17.50 per hour negotiable based on experience
- Hours: 40 hours per week (genuine, structured)
- Dinner last orders: 9:15pm
- Evening covers: Typically no more than 40
- Service: Breakfast, lunch & afternoon tea covered by separate shifts
- No banqueting / no late-night service
The Role
- Lead and run evening service with a small kitchen team
- Take responsibility for the hot section and service pass
- Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control
- Support and guide junior chefs during service
- Maintain HACCP, food safety, and cleanliness standards
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house
- Assist with prep planning and efficient service delivery
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie
- Background in hotel or quality casual dining kitchens
- Confident leading a section and small team
- Strong knowledge of classic cooking techniques
- Calm, organised, and reliable
- HACCP knowledge essential

Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a professional kitchen
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie
(Or demonstrable experience running a section and leading service)
- HACCP / Food Safety Level 2 (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of classic cooking techniques
(Traditional Irish and European dishes)
- Ability to lead a small team during service
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
