Leeson Park School of Music (LPSM) is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging music educator to join our growing team. We have a range of Group Music classes with avalible teaching positions (Music Kindergarten, Pre-Instrumental & Musicianship)
We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about introducing young children to music through singing, movement, games and creative musical experiences. The successful candidate will teach a range of our Music Kindergarten, Pre-Instrumental and Musicianship programmes, helping children develop a lifelong love of music in a warm and supportive environment.
Our teaching is rooted in the Kodály philosophy, placing singing, movement and joyful music-making at the heart of every lesson. Previous Kodály experience is desirable, but training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
Potential Opportunities within The Role
- Music Kindergarten classes (ages 1–3 with parent participation)
- Pre-Instrumental classes (ages 4–7)
- Musicianship classes as part of our instrumental programme
- Deliver engaging, child-centred lessons using singing, movement and musical games
- Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment for children and families
- Work collaboratively with the LPSM teaching team
Essential Requirements
- Excellent musicianship and confident singing ability
- A warm, energetic and engaging teaching style
- Experience working with young children
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Permission to work in Ireland and Obtain Garda Vetting
Desirable
- Kodály training or experience
- A qualification in Music or Early Childhood Education
- Experience teaching early years music or classroom music
- Proficient in an any classical instrument
