UCC is currently seeking applications for placement on an Executive Assistant panel from which opportunities (ordinarily full-time and of varying duration depending on University needs) may arise. The duties of Executive Assistants involve a wide range of administrative functions in various schools, departments or units within the University. Working within a highly collaborative and innovative environment, you will play a key role in providing Executive Assistant support to departments, schools and units.
The Executive Assistant role is an entry level position to the professional services function of the University. Successful applicants to the panel, will on appointment to the University, have significant opportunity for career advancement, professional and personal development, including the opportunity to undertake study in UCC. With the possibility for appointment to a central professional function or an academic unit, the Executive Assistant has the opportunity to play a central role in supporting University leadership in the delivery of UCC’s strategic vision.
It is anticipated that the panel will be in place until 31 December 2026 but may expire at an earlier or later date at the discretion of the University.

Shortlisted applicants will be required to complete Ability Testing (and obtain the required standard) before being invited to interview. Applicants will be advised of the date of the Ability Tests following shortlisting.
Starting salary will be at the first point of the Executive Assistant Salary Scale: €30,230 - €42,386 (Scale B) /€27,179 -€40,514 (Scale A). Alignment to the first point of scale is mandatory per public sector pay guidelines and is not subject to negotiation unless the successful appointee is in the same or an analogous grade/role within the public sector. The rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy.
