Ward & Ward Ltd. are a well-established family run business specialising in domestic haulage and plant hire. We are currently seeking a candidate for the position of experienced HGV mechanic in our expanding workshop.
Candidates’ skills should include:
· Ability to identify and diagnose problems.
· Ability to carry out work to a high standard.
· Good communications skills.
39 Hrs per week
· Be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
· Have reasonable IT and literacy skills.
· High degree of product and technical knowledge
· Must be organized & self-motivated.
Candidates’ duties will include:
· Carrying out maintenance and repair works on HGV’s, in particular, Scania’s and Volvo’s.
· Carrying out 13 week checks and scheduled servicing of HGV’s.
· Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics
· Preparing trucks and trailers for DOE testing.
· Working on own initiative and as part of a team.
· Ability to use power and hand tools related to motor vehicle service and repair
