The Global Test Engineering software development team designs and delivers innovative manufacturing automation solutions that enable Dells new product introduction strategy in Global Operations. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software that runs in a cloud based manufacturing environment across Dells global manufacturing sites, delivering product diagnostic testing, customer software provisioning as well as customer configuration verification prior to shipping to customer sites — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

We are looking for a highly-skilled, self-motivated Software Engineer with strong communication and technical skills to join our collaborative environment.
What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated systems and software based on Dells manufacturing and product team requirements and business goals.
You will:

Be involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle from requirements analysis through design/architecture, development, testing and delivery.

Work on a highly motivated agile software development team with an emphasis on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Gain extensive insights into Dells portfolio of products through close collaboration with Dells product teams.

Essential requirements

Knowledge of programming languages, object oriented programming principles, operating systems, databases, networking, device drivers, application administration, embedded software/firmware, tools and utilities. Python, Bitbucket/GitHub Source Control, Jenkins build.

Ability to code/debug more sophisticated programs using either written or verbal design specifications

Capacity to achieve proficiency of new tools, languages and operating systems with training and on-the-job experience
-
Comfortable working on Dell products from a hardware setup and test perspective.

5–8 years of related experience
Desirable Requirements
Bachelor’s degree CS or equivalent
