Housekeeper — Private Diplomatic Residence
Location: Dublin
Hours: 3 days per week to start (potential to become permanent housekeeper)
Start date: Immediate
Reports to: Area Supervisor
Vetting: Garda vetting required
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and discreet Housekeeper to maintain a private diplomatic residence in Dublin to the highest standard. This is a position of trust within a professional household environment, and the successful candidate will take pride in presenting an immaculate, welcoming home at all times.
This is not an entry-level position. Demonstrable housekeeping experience is essential — applications without relevant experience will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out thorough cleaning of the residence, ensuring every room is consistently spotless and presentable
- Wash, fold, and press laundry to a high standard, including the careful handling of formal and delicate garments
- Maintain the overall order and presentation of the household, anticipating what needs to be done without requiring constant direction
- Follow instructions accurately while also being able to work independently and use your own initiative
- Uphold strict discretion and confidentiality at all times, given the sensitive nature of the residence
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in housekeeping; hospitality experience (hotels, private households, or similar) is strongly preferred
- Trustworthy and dependable — this role demands the highest level of integrity
- Already Garda vetted — this is an immediate start, so there is no time to complete the vetting process. Current, valid vetting is essential.
- Good standard of English, able to communicate clearly with the residents and supervisor
- Irish citizen or resident with valid permission to work in Ireland
- Punctual and reliable — arriving on time, every time
- Comfortable conducting yourself professionally in a formal setting
- Able to take direction well and equally able to work to your own initiative
- Well-presented, with a neat and professional appearance (uniform provided)
- A genuine eye for detail and pride in a job well done
What We Offer
- A professional, respectful working environment
- Uniform provided
- 3 days per week to begin, with the strong possibility of a permanent, ongoing position for the right candidate
How to Apply
Please submit your CV along with two relevant references.
As this is an immediate start, only candidates with suitable experience who are already Garda vetted and available to begin straight away will be contacted.
