At Excel Recruitment, we are currently recruiting an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist on behalf of our client an award-winning waste management and recycling company, based in Dublin 12.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation and play a key role in ensuring compliance, maintaining environmental standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all relevant waste, transport, and environmental licences and permits.

Monitor and maintain compliance with health & safety legislation.

Conduct site inspections, audits, sampling, monitoring, and reporting activities.

Manage environmental, quality, and health & safety management systems, including ISO certifications.

Prepare regulatory reports and submissions for agencies including the EPA, CSO, County Councils, TFS, and REPAK.

Keep abreast of legislative changes and ensure business compliance.

Deliver compliance-related training to employees and customers.

Investigate, track, and close out audit findings and corrective actions.

Produce customer waste reports and support ongoing improvements to reporting systems.

Assist with tenders, proposals, and business development initiatives as required.
Requirements

Relevant 3rd level qualification
-
Previous compliance, environmental, or health & safety experience.
-
Waste industry experience is desirable but not essential.

Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and business systems.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
