The Chief Commercial and Strategy Officer will lead the company’s commercial growth agenda and long-term strategic planning. Sitting at the intersection of revenue generation, market expansion and corporate strategy, the CCSO will identify growth opportunities, shape go-to-market plans and execute initiatives that maximise profitability, strengthen market position and support sustainable, scalable growth.
The successful candidate will be a commercially astute, strategic and results-driven leader with the ability to translate market opportunity into clear operational plans. They will be highly focused on measurable outcomes, revenue performance and ROI, while also acting as a collaborative senior leader who can unite sales, marketing, strategy and operational teams around a shared growth agenda.
Responsibilities:
Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth: Own and drive revenue-generating functions, including sales, business development and customer success, ensuring commercial strategies are aligned with the company’s overall objectives.
Market Expansion: Identify strategic threats, market gaps and new business opportunities through data-driven insight, market intelligence and competitor analysis.
Pricing & Profitability: Oversee pricing, packaging and monetisation models to maximise market share, margins and return on investment.
Strategic Initiatives: Lead key growth initiatives, including partnerships, joint ventures and potential mergers or acquisitions, where aligned to business strategy.
Marketing & Brand Alignment: Ensure marketing, demand generation and brand positioning are directly aligned with sales objectives and revenue targets.
Leadership & Collaboration: Lead, mentor and scale high-performing commercial and strategy teams while working closely with the CEO, CFO and product or operational teams to support long-term profitability and execution.
Requirements:
Significant senior executive experience in commercial leadership, sales, marketing, business development or corporate strategy, ideally within a fast-paced or multi-market environment.
Proven track record of scaling revenue, entering new markets and delivering strategic growth initiatives.
Strong analytical capability, including financial modelling, data analysis, pricing strategy and market trend forecasting.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline; MBA or advanced qualification preferred.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
