Hours: 18/21 hours per week - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Breaks: 30 mins (unpaid)
Rate of Pay: €15.80 with potential to increase to €16.00 on completion of GMP/Waste Training
Job Description
Principle & Purpose
To provide and maintain a high standard of cleaning service within contracted buildings, working within the cost limits and resources agreed between the Client and ISS
The candidate will be supporting the client service function in both GMP and Non-GMP areas
Job Specific Functions
- To provide a Janitorial Cleaning and Waste Service to the agreed client standards in accordance with the Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators specified in the service contract
- Conducting thorough cleaning of the Plant in areas such as Clean Rooms, Production areas, Offices, Corridors, Warehouse areas and Toilets, working to approved SOPs got GMP and non-GMP
- Using the correct Procedures, Products and Tools/ machines to carry out duties in a safe manner, working autonomously to and agreed schedule / plan
- Operating cleaning machinery including ride on Floor Washers and Waste Moving Powered Pallet Trucks
- Ensuring all tasks are complete to the standard required
- Following site Health and Safety rules at all times
General Job Dimensions
Practical:
- Must have a good command of English, both written and oral to follow client and supervisor instruction.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Conducting thorough cleaning of the Plant in areas such as Clean Rooms, Production areas, Offices, Corridors, Warehouse areas and Toilets
- Using the correct products and tools/ machines to carry out duties in a safe manner.
- Operating cleaning machinery including ride on Floor Washers, and Waste Powered Pallet Trucks
- Cleaning post-use of cleaning equipment, and waste movement equipment (powered pallet trucks)
- Ensuring all tasks are complete to the standard required.
- Following Health and Safety rules at all times
- Ensure a high standard of cleaning is maintained, as directed by SOPs and by supervisor training or instruction, with minimal supervision.
- Care of equipment and stock for fulfilment of the role

- Undertake any reasonable tasks as requested by your supervisor in support of the client service delivery, where trained and competent to do so.
Customer Relations:
- Encourage good relations with all clients and others on contract site
- Promptly deal with any queries or complaints
- Promote ISS Ireland, acting as ambassador for placemaking service delivery
Training:
- Part-take in basic induction training for new staff
- Part-take in ongoing training from supervisor
- Undergo training in the use of equipment required for the role
- Cooperate with safe working practices as per prescribed training (manual handling/safe use of chemicals equipment etc)
Experience Required
- Previous experience of high- volume cleaning and GMP
- Experience in using cleaning machines or similar equipment
- Have a pleasant manner while carrying out your work
- Flexible to the needs of the business
- Good command of English, oral and written

Other features of the job:
It may be necessary to work alternative hours, shift patterns or unsociable hours, including weekends and sometimes more than contracted hours. As part of your job, you will be expected to attend training events and/or meetings and travel to other locations may be required. Local requirements will govern your patterns and locations of work.
