Overview of the Role
Based in our Athlone dealership and reporting directly to the Parts Manager, the Junior Parts Advisor will support our motor vehicle technicians, service advisors and customers with accurate and timely supply of parts in a professional and customer focused manner.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not restricted, to the following:
- Provision of a high-level service to retail customers, trade clients and technicians.
- Provision of support to the Service Advisors.
- Identification of parts using manufacturer catalogues and DMS systems.
- Processing of orders, returns and stock checks.
- Maintaining stock levels and housekeeping standards.
- Maximising sales opportunities through upselling and promotions.
- Other ad-hoc duties as determined necessary by the business.
Requirements
- Minimum Leaving Certificate or equivalent with prior experience in a dealership or automotive parts department desirable but not essential as full training provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong IT and administrative skills.
- Full clean driving licence advantageous.
- Professional demeanour, motivated, team-oriented with a genuine interest in the automotive industry.
