The Coast Hotel is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Chef de Partie to join our professional kitchen team on a fixed term basis.
All applicants must be fully flexible and available to work midweek and weekends.

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic hard working Chef de Partie. Working under the supervision of our Executive chef the successful candidate must show an enthusiasm to learn and improve their culinary skills and also is a good team player!
Job/Role Responsibilities:
- Setting up the kitchen prior to the service
- Preparing a particular kitchen station by bringing all food containers to that point in the line
- Cooking a specific portion of each plated meal
- Contribute to the best of your ability to the production of food item
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in an efficient and timely fashion and to the appropriate standard
- Assisting with marinating, cutting and precooking foods
- Cleaning the kitchen before the restaurant closes
- Cleaning and sanitising their area with warm water and soap
- Wrapping unused items and storing them in proper areas at the end of a shift
- Plating food creatively and maximising customer enjoyment
- Follow standards for waste control
- To operate in a safe and responsible manner with recognised techniques and working to HACCP procedures and company policies
Requirements:
- Chef qualification/1-2 years Chef De Partie experience essential
- Must have a passion for cooking and be very creative
- Ability to produce dishes to a consistently high standard
- HACCP trained and hold an up to date certificate
- Knowledge of ordering, stock control and waste management.
- Flexible to meet business needs
- Fluent English is required (Written and Oral)
