About the Role
Handles & Hinges Midleton is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team. This is a varied, hands-on position that combines excellent customer service with stock handling and general store operations. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in maintaining an organised workplace, and is comfortable with physical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a friendly and professional service to customers, offering product advice and assistance.
* Support sales by helping customers select products and maintaining an attractive showroom presentation.
* Receive, unload, move, and organise stock safely and efficiently.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment and stock control.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe retail environment.
* Assist with general day-to-day store operations as required.
Requirements
* Previous retail or customer service experience is desirable but not essential.
* Ability and willingness to carry out manual handling tasks (training will be provided).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
* Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Reliable, punctual, and capable of working as part of a team.
* A full clean driving licence is essential.
