Operations Site Manager (OSM) - Little Island, Cork
Full time, permanent role (up to 48 hours weekly).
GMAG Logistics is hiring an experienced Operations Site Manager to lead our Cork operation.
This is a key site leadership role responsible for day-to-day operational control, driver performance, route execution, fleet standards, safety, compliance and team communication.
We are looking for someone with strong logistics, transport, delivery, fleet, warehouse or distribution operations experience who can bring structure, accountability and positive leadership to a busy driver-led site.
The successful candidate will lead drivers and site support roles, manage daily performance, improve standards, reduce repeated issues and help build a stable, high-performing Cork team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead daily site operations, including attendance, dispatch readiness, route cover and end-of-day review.
- Manage driver performance through coaching, evidence-based feedback and clear follow-up.
- Improve delivery standards, customer outcomes, scorecard performance and operational discipline.
- Support fleet standards, vehicle checks, damage follow-up and safe driving behaviour.
- Communicate clearly with drivers, lead drivers, fleet support and senior leadership.
- Build a stable, fair and accountable site culture.
What we are looking for
- Experience in logistics, transport, delivery, fleet, warehouse or distribution operations.
- Previous experience leading operational teams or drivers.
- Strong people management skills and confidence dealing with performance conversations.
- Ability to use KPIs and data to drive practical improvement.
- Calm, firm and fair leadership style.
- Organised, hands-on and comfortable working in a fast-paced site environment.
- Specific client-platform experience is not required; training will be provided.
Package
- Salary: €47,500-€55,000 DOE
